Procrastination
What is the problem?
Procrastination is a very common issue among not only students but grown-ups as well.
People often easily procrastinate but eventually face problems such as having no work done
in time or losing further Interest. There are alarm clock or app, but they either don't help
you focus much or just become another source of distraction.
GOALS
Simple and beautiful
The goal was to come up with a design which can solve the
problem of procrastination and also aesthetically good
looking.
Analyzing
Our team gathered to talk about the issue and come up with
possible solutions. One thing we all agreed was that
it had to be simple to use, but is bit hard to turn it off.
Applying the 'Pomodoro' technique
Pomodoro technique is a proven method used for preventing
procrastinating, a method which the user can control their
workflow.
Rough concepts
Looking back into what and why people would use time devices for.
Form exploration
The shape had to be smooth, friendly and also easy for the user to understand.
Mock ups
Based on mutiple form exploration, the best method found was to focus on the original shape,
but also making it so it does not 100% tell what it is.
Final model
Infi ultimately earned the hourglass like shape. It showed how traditional form which resembles
an hourglass can still be used on modern devices.
